![]() I wasn't lookingįor the timothy pellets, I wanted the orchard hay pellets. I was very interested in Standlee's pellets last year. Please support the Racehorse Welfare Petition When using either as a carrier for supplements, 1/4 to 1/2 pound soaked fluffs up into a considerable amount of supplement mixable feed! You shouldn't need more than that and I can tell you with certainty that your beet pulp pellets are safer than these hay pellets by comparison, especially if you rinse/soak/rinse. Please also consider how much you actually need, either of Standlee pellets or Beet Pulp. Timothy hay doesn't bind well on it's own - huge huge suspicion for healthy doses of alfalfa in this timothy pellet and that is not safe across the board for IR/Cushing's horses. The Standlee Timothy Hay Pellets protein level were almost twice the normal for timothy hay. The last time I looked at the analysis for Standlee timothy hay pellets, they sure weren't for real all timothy and you'll never convince me otherwise - and to clarify, this is my personal opinion based on a considerable understanding of forages & protein levels. Please contact them again and ask them what their protein level is in this batch then post here if you don't mind. ![]()
